Terms and Conditions
Who we are
Connect Patagonia (legal and trading name). Established in the United States. Service address: Avenida Llao Llao 95, El Chaltén, CP 9301, Santa Cruz, Argentina. Website: https://connectpatagonia.com. Contact: Connectpatagonia.com@gmail.com.
Scope of services and products
We offer on-location photography services and experiences, and we sell fine-art prints and wall art (poster, framed poster, canvas, framed canvas, metal/aluminum prints) as well as, where offered, digital image files and licenses.
Pricing, currency, and taxes
Prices are shown in USD by default; we may also display ARS or EUR for convenience. Unless stated otherwise, prices are exclusive of taxes. We do not collect sales tax except where legally required (for example, digital products in certain jurisdictions). If tax applies, it will be added at checkout.
Payments and booking
Accepted payment methods: Stripe, PayPal, Venmo, and Mercado Pago (availability may vary by country and product). For services, a 30% retainer is due at booking to reserve the date; the remaining balance is due upon delivery of proofs or as stated on your invoice. Retainers are applied to the final price and are refundable only according to the
cancellation policy below.
Cancellations, rescheduling, and weather
Client-initiated cancellations for services:
- 14 days or more before the scheduled date: 100% refund of amounts paid, minus any non-recoverable third-party fees.
- 7–13 days before: 50% refund of amounts paid.
- Less than 7 days before: no refund.
Rescheduling is only offered when bad weather occurs on the scheduled date and a safer, reasonable weather window is available during your stay. If bad weather occurs and no foreseeable good day remains during your stay, no rescheduling will be possible and the cancellation terms above apply.
What’s included for photography services
Unless your invoice states otherwise, a typical package includes at least 25 fully edited, high-resolution JPEG images delivered via private online gallery within 30 days of the shoot. Gallery access is typically available for at least 90 days. RAW files are not included. Additional edits, rush delivery, prints, framing, and third-party services are billed separately unless stated in writing.
Client responsibilities for services
Park entrance fees, permits, transport, and other third-party costs are the client’s responsibility unless expressly included in writing. Please arrive on time, with appropriate clothing and equipment for mountain weather. We may suggest locations and timing, but the final choice to hike or travel is yours.
Important safety notice and assumption of risk
We are photographers, not mountain guides. We do not provide guiding, route-finding, rescue services, or safety supervision. You acknowledge that outdoor activities in Patagonia (including hiking and travel to trailheads and viewpoints) involve inherent risks, including but not limited to weather, wind, cold, terrain, wildlife, and remote access. You agree that you are solely responsible for your safety, decisions, and actions; you assume all risks of injury, loss, or damage arising from participating in the shoot and from traveling to and from locations. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Connect Patagonia, its owners, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, and our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amounts you paid for the specific service or product giving rise to the claim.
Prints, framing, and shipping
All print products are made-to-order and produced by professional fulfillment partners such as Gelato, Printify, and Printful. Available finishes, sizes, and materials are shown on each product page. Shipping destinations and carriers may vary by product and will be shown at checkout; we may decline orders where fulfillment is unavailable. Typical production and delivery times for wall art are around two weeks, but timelines are estimates only and can vary by destination, customs, and season. Customs duties, taxes, or import fees are the customer’s responsibility.
Returns, damage, and color variance
Because prints are made-to-order, all sales are final and we do not accept returns or exchanges for buyer’s remorse, size errors, or preference changes. If an item arrives damaged or defective, contact us within 7 days of delivery with clear photos of the packaging and product; at our discretion we will arrange a replacement. Minor color and trim variations may occur due to monitor differences, lab tolerances, materials, and cropping required by aspect ratios; these are normal and not defects.
Digital downloads and licensing
Where digital files are offered, downloads are non-refundable once the file has been delivered or accessed. Unless a different license is stated in writing, digital files are licensed to the purchaser for personal, non-commercial use only: personal prints, personal devices, and personal social media with credit to Connect Patagonia when feasible. No resale, sub-licensing, redistribution, or commercial use without prior written permission.
Copyright and portfolio use
All images remain the intellectual property and copyright of Connect Patagonia unless otherwise agreed in writing. Purchased prints are for personal display only and may not be scanned, copied, or reproduced. We may use images from your session in our portfolio, website, and social media, unless you notify us in writing before the shoot that you wish to opt out (reasonable accommodations will be made).
Availability and force majeur
Scheduling and deliverables may be affected by weather, road or border closures, illness, equipment failures, or events beyond our reasonable control. If we are unable to perform the service as agreed, we will offer a refund of amounts paid for undelivered services or a credit, at our discretion; this will be your sole remedy.
Fraud prevention and compliance
Orders suspected of fraud, abuse, or unlawful activity may be refused or canceled. We comply with applicable laws and park regulations. You agree to follow local regulations and ranger instructions at all times.
Disputes and governing law
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of them are governed by the laws of the Argentine Republic, without regard to conflicts of law principles. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Province of Santa Cruz, Argentina. Before filing a claim, please email us at Connectpatagonia.com@gmail.com so we can try in good faith to resolve the issue
