How joining a group works

Send your plans once. We use your request to look for a shared guided hike that could work for you.

  1. Share your plans

    Choose hikes and dates, then tell us your party size and hiking experience. After submitting, keep the request reference shown on screen.

  2. We review possible groups

    We compare requests and review compatible options. If a possible group takes shape, we contact you by WhatsApp or email to discuss it.

  3. Decide before you book

    Review the proposed hike, date, guide, inclusions and quote. Your request becomes a booking only after the arrangements are agreed and the booking is confirmed.

Finding hiking partners means more than sharing a date. Hiking experience helps us consider which travelers may be suited to the same route.

More than one hike in mind? Keep your options open.

Choose from Laguna de los Tres, Laguna Torre, Loma del Pliegue Tumbado, the Huemul Circuit and Laguna Capri. Select a trail to see the calendar, followed by its difficulty, duration and available elevation information.

Use Several hikes to select every route you would consider, including all five. These are alternatives for finding a group; they do not book several hikes. A flexible date range gives us more days to compare with other requests.

Only select days when you can hike. If you want several separate hiking days, tell us in the form.

Planning a guided hike on a budget

Joining other travelers may let you share the cost of guiding. The quote depends on the route, group and arrangements, so a lower price or an available group is not guaranteed.

There is no payment when you send this form. Review the quote and what it includes before deciding whether to book.

Know what your quote covers

We clarify which arrangements are included and which would be paid separately:

  • Guiding and the agreed route
  • Transport to the trailhead, if needed
  • Park or private-access fees
  • Rental equipment and other logistics

The Huemul Circuit is a challenging four-day trek. You can request it in the same form, and we review the full itinerary, experience and dates personally.

For a single date, choose your preferred start date. For flexible dates, include a window covering all four days. A shared start date alone does not confirm a group or departure.

Before you send your group request

Does the calendar show confirmed departures?

No. It shows anonymous interest in day hikes. “Interested” and “Group forming” are signals to help us review requests, not confirmed departures or available places. Flexible requests can appear on several dates, and one traveler can be interested in several routes. Huemul Circuit groups are reviewed separately.

Is this for guided hikes or independent hiking partners?

This service helps us arrange shared guided hikes. We review requests and contact you about a possible plan. It is not a public directory for exchanging travelers’ contact details.

What if no group matches my dates?

A group may not form for your hike and dates. If you could consider another day, route or a private hike, contact us with your request reference to discuss the options. Wait for a confirmed arrangement before changing your travel plans.

Can I ask for transport too?

Yes. Add your transport needs in the form. Transfers are arranged and confirmed separately; submitting a hiking request does not reserve transport.

How do I change or withdraw my request?

Keep the reference shown after submitting. Contact us with that reference and the details you want to change, or let us know you no longer need a group.

What happens if the weather changes?

The plan depends on conditions and the group’s needs. We discuss arrangements before booking, and the assigned guide makes the final decisions about departure, route and turnaround. Weather, views and a particular viewpoint cannot be guaranteed.
