I’m a Patagonia elopement photographer based in El Chaltén since 2017, not a photographer who flies in for the season, but someone who lives beneath Mount Fitz Roy year-round and knows all the logistics that go into something like this. I photograph adventure elopements, intimate weddings, and surprise proposals across Argentine and Chilean Patagonia, and I’ll help you navigate the logistics, the weather, and the trails so all you have to do is be present with each other.
Eloping in Patagonia
Most couples searching for a Patagonia elopement photographer are planning one of the biggest adventures of their lives in one of the most remote, weather-volatile places on earth, usually from thousands of miles away. The single biggest thing that makes it go smoothly is working with someone who actually lives here.
My partner Milena is an IFMGA-certified mountain guide, one of the few in the region, and part of the second all-female team to summit Fitz Roy (Also, an incredible photographer), so between us we cover both the photography and the mountain logistics ,conditions, and safety.

Where to Elope in Patagonia?
Patagonia has no shortage of beautiful landscapes, but not every location works equally well for an elopement. Some require a full day of hiking, while others can be reached by vehicle and allow you to spend more time celebrating, exploring, and taking photographs.
The best location for you will depend on how adventurous you want the day to be, how private you want the ceremony to feel, and which part of Patagonia you are planning to visit.
El Chaltén, Argentina
El Chaltén, Argentina sits directly beneath the Fitz Roy range, with locations ranging from quiet viewpoints close to town to full-day hikes such as Laguna de los Tres and Laguna Torre. You do not necessarily need to complete one of the longest hikes to have an incredible mountain backdrop. There are several more accessible locations that still offer open views of Fitz Roy, especially around sunrise and early morning.
El Chaltén is best for couples who enjoy hiking, do not mind changing weather, and want their elopement to feel more like an adventure than a traditional wedding day.
Best for: Fitz Roy views, hiking elopements, sunrise ceremonies, privacy, and adventurous couples.
Perito Moreno Glacier, Argentina
Perito Moreno Glacier is a strong option for couples who want one of Patagonia’s most recognizable landscapes without committing to a long hike.
The glacier is located outside El Calafate and can be viewed from a network of walkways with several different perspectives. A boat trip or glacier excursion can also be included as part of the day, depending on the experience you want.
This location is generally easier to access than the mountain locations around El Chaltén, although the main viewpoints can be busy during the middle of the day. Timing the ceremony earlier or later can make the experience feel more personal and improve the light for photography.
Best for: Glacier scenery, easy access, shorter elopement days, and couples staying in El Calafate.
Torres del Paine, Chile
Torres del Paine is a good choice for couples who want variety rather than one single mountain viewpoint.
Within the park, you can photograph beside glacial lakes, open grasslands, waterfalls, and the granite peaks of the Paine Massif. Locations around Lago Pehoé, Salto Grande, and viewpoints facing the Cuernos del Paine can all work well for an elopement without requiring the full trek to the base of the towers.
Torres del Paine also has more luxury lodges and all-inclusive accommodation options than El Chaltén, making it a practical choice for couples who want an adventurous setting without giving up comfort.
Best for: Scenic variety, luxury accommodation, road-accessible locations, and multi-day elopement experiences.

If you’re planning to propose with Fitz Roy as your backdrop, I’ll quietly capture the whole moment, the walk up, the question, the reaction, without your partner suspecting a thing. Adventure Elopements
An adventure elopement is an intimate wedding experience built around travel, nature, and meaningful time together. Instead of following the traditional structure of a large wedding, couples choose to exchange vows in a place that feels personal to them, such as a mountain valley, forest, glacier, lakeshore, desert, or remote viewpoint.
The word “adventure” does not necessarily mean climbing a mountain or completing a difficult hike. An adventure elopement can involve a sunrise walk, a scenic drive, a short trail, a boat trip, a horseback ride, or several days of exploring a destination together. What makes it adventurous is the decision to create a wedding experience outside the usual venue and design the day around the couple’s interests.

How many photos will I receive?
You will receive all raw photos from the photoshoot. Depending on the package you will be able to hand pick 20-40 of your favorites for me to personally edit.
How far in advance should we book?
For peak season (December–February), 6–12 months is ideal, especially for multi-day treks. I sometimes have shorter-notice availability, ask.
How will I receive my photos?
Your photos will be delivered digitally in high resolution within two weeks after your session.
What's the best month to elope in Patagonia?
October through end of April.
